June Telling: Gaps and Glances In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight: step into the court of king Arthur at Yule Tide for a wonder take of such magnitude it may have even shaped who we are today.

Join a gathering of vagabonds around the fire, as the dimpsy time approaches, the time between dog and wolf when the vail to the otherworlds thins. As the storyteller leans in and the tale begins, we step into mythic time, where stories unfold in ways the rational mind cannot grasp. Prepare for a journey into the strange, the ancient, and the wild.
It may be a folktale, a fairytale, a myth, an ancestral or wonder story, it may be one story it may be a few. All we know is that once the telling begins we’re in for a wild ride.
Come to receive a story and experience the most ancient of art forms in a contemporary setting. There will be good cheer, a glass of something that warms the body and pleases the gods, cups of tea and a snack or two, a fire if we can, and a space for your chair or cushion under the stars.
Your role is to sit back and enjoy the story. But beware - don’t corner the story, beating it with an allegorical club this would be blasphemous! Instead let the images speak to you. We will however explore the image that has stayed with you the bit of the story that has your imagination. So you will have a little work to do.
The Story:
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight places virtue and courtly values at the centre of actions in the face of transition, death and desire. What a mix where will you find yourself in this tale?
